There are multiple levels of Contract Compliance and MCHC can support you in any number of ways.
Comprehensive Compliance – MCHC can fill the role of Contract Monitor ensuring your medical services contractor is meeting all contractual requirements. In a non-adversarial role, MCHC will monitor the clinical, administrative, and financial components of your health services contract, as well as accreditation compliance. MCHC has the experience to work in partnership with your medical service provider, ensuring your interests are protected. A full-service compliance program will ensure the contractor is achieving the high bar of excellence created through your RFP and contract. Quarterly or semi-annual compliance reviews – Just a mini version of the full comprehensive compliance program.
Financial Compliance – Focused on cost containment processes in the jail, including cost recovery for Per Diem inmates, off-site care utilization, and claims management reviews. Even with a comprehensive medical contract, you may be spending more than you need to. Unnecessary off-site care results in Officer overtime for security details. Over-utilization of services and medications can affect aggregate cap payouts and paybacks, and/or impact logistical operations throughout the jail. There is a tangible cost to all this.
